The Soul of the Sculpture: Barracuda “Caribbean Instinct”
This is not merely a decorative object; it is a one-of-a-kind original work with a profound personal history. These barracudas were created in Madrid in 2021, during a period of deep introspection while accompanying my daughter through her illness. I sought out abandoned wood throughout the city, transforming discarded history into a powerful symbol of strength and survival.
Inspired by the Beauty of Instinct
Off the coast of Cayo Guillermo (Cuba), I encountered these majestic creatures swimming through crystal-clear waters. Barracudas possess extraordinary vision and can move at over 40 km/h, driven by pure, raw instinct. With this collection, I wanted to showcase that primal energy we share with nature—a balance between our reasoning and our true essence that always finds its way to the surface.
