This piece carries a story of resilience. The palm leaves come from trees originally planted at the artist’s home in Buenos Aires. When transplanted to the humid delta of Tigre (the old fruit trade port), the trees struggled to adapt to the new terrain. As they eventually recovered and absorbed the breezes of their new home, they shed these leaves. Instead of discarding them, they were collected and painted to create this light and colorful art collection.
