We were walking with my daughter in the countryside. We had a leisurely pace and enjoyed the smell of wet earth. The peaceful landscape reminded me of a Renoir painting. Suddenly I tripped over a tree branch on which I saw a whale drawn. I took it home, shaped it and thought of an imaginary world where little whales were in the lakes in the fields. Live with them and not capture them. See them happy in their environment. That’s why I made art from nature as a reflection on our relationship with the environment.
