As U2 says in the song One: "We're one but we're not the same", this sculpture is inspired by the concept of a loving couple, where two unique souls come together and that special union is more than just 1+ 1 but at the same time they are two different identities
Off the coast of Cayo Guillermo, a small island paradise off mainland Cuba, I met barracudas swimming through its crystal clear waters. Barracudas have excellent vision and can move at over 40 kilometers per hour. Although they have a bad reputation, when they have rarely attacked humans it is because they mistake identity for prey. With these works I wanted to show the beauty of instinct, that characteristic that both humans and animals have and that, even if we want to hide it under reasoning, it always comes to the surface. My barracudas will accompany you in the adventure of finding that balance between instinct and reason.
